Situated off the main drive between the Crematorium and Dunham Lawn Cemetery, or to the boundary on the right hand side of Hale Cemetery, the Columbarium Vaults accommodate up to two or four sets of cremated remains caskets sealed at the front with an engraved granite plaque.

Purchased on a renewable lease for a period of ten, twenty, thirty or fifty years, the cost includes the granite plaque with an inscription of up to eighty letters over four lines and a flower holder. For an additional fee, you can add pictures, illustrations and photographs to personalise the memorial.

Plaque design

All lease options include a black granite plaque with the first 80 gilded letters.

Additional letters are available at an additional cost but the inscription must fit within a specified template.

Design options include:

• A photo plaque 7cm x 5cm
• A simple design
• A bespoke design can be added for an individual cost
• Any design can be priced and produced from existing photographs
• A second inscription can be added to the large faced black plaque provided sufficient space is available
• Second inscription on existing granite plaque on request including the cost of return and collection from our memorial specialist

Ashes containers

• Only metal urns, wooden caskets or polytainers will be permitted
• Ornamental urns and wooden caskets are available from the Bereavement Services Office at Altrincham Crematorium

Flowers containers

• A metal flower container for natural flowers will be incorporated into the memorial. Please note no artificial flowers are allowed on the columbarium, if artificial flowers are placed on the columbarium or in the flower containers they will be removed.
• No additional vases, flower containers, memorials, article or thing are to be placed upon these memorial gardens or within the Gardens of Remembrance. We may remove any withered or dead flowers.

Rules

It will be the responsibility of the leaseholder to inform the Manager and Registrar of any change of address within the duration of the lease.

At the end of the lease period, we will write to you at your last known address with details of how you can extend the lease. If we do not receive further instruction regarding the extension of the lease or disposal of cremated remains, they will be laid to rest in the Garden of Remembrance at Altrincham crematorium and the plaque will be removed and held for a period of 12 months.

Liability cannot be accepted for damage caused to a memorial by persons other than Bereavement Services employees.

A memorial application can be refused if, in the opinion of the manager and Registrar, that the inscription would be unsuitable for the Garden of Remembrance.
